The UV7A4 and UV7R4 are high-sensitivity UV flame scanners for monitoring cycling gas or oil flames, compatible with Fireye’s MBSERIES, SBSERIES controls, and MBPF modules.
The UV7A4, UV7A4-1-CEX and UV7R4 are high-sensitivity ultraviolet (UV) flame scanners designed for monitoring gas or oil flames that cycle frequently. These non-self-check scanners integrate seamlessly with Fireye’s MBSERIES Multi-Burner control, SBSERIES Single Burner control, and the MBPF-100S and MB-600PF flame sensing modules, providing reliable flame detection for various industrial applications.
The UV7A4 scanner is ideal for applications where flames cycle on and off frequently. It features high-sensitivity UV detection, ensuring accurate flame monitoring even in demanding conditions. The Fireye flame safeguard system checks for short-circuited or "runaway" scanners at the beginning and end of each flame cycle. The UV7A4 is UL listed and FM approved for safety and reliability. It includes a 122 cm (4 ft.) shielded flexible cable and a 1/2" F.N.P.T. insulated nylon coupling, making it suitable for high-temperature environments.
The UV7R4 scanner is a 90° right angle UV flame scanner designed for monitoring gas or oil flames in systems where space constraints or specific mounting angles are important. Like the UV7A4, it offers high-sensitivity detection for flames that cycle frequently. The scanner is also equipped with Fireye's flame safeguard, which checks for short-circuited or "runaway" scanners during each flame cycle. The UV7R4 is UL listed and FM approved, with 72-inch (1830mm) unshielded lead wires and reverse connection protection for added security.
The UV7A4-1-CEX is a high-sensitivity ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for monitoring gas or oil flames that cycle on and off frequently. It integrates seamlessly with Fireye’s MBSERIES Multi-Burner control, SBSERIES Single Burner control, and flame sensing modules such as the MBPF-100S and MB-600PF. The UV7A4-1-CEX features Fireye’s flame safeguard system, which checks for short-circuited or "runaway" scanners at the beginning and end of each flame cycle. UL listed and FM approved, it comes with 6” pigtail leads and a 1/2" N.P.T. connection, ensuring reliable performance and safety in various industrial applications.
Both the UV7A4 and UV7R4 use a quartz UV tube filled with gas that ionizes when exposed to UV radiation from the flame. The ionized gas allows current to flow between electrodes, producing a flame signal transmitted to the amplifier. This signal is processed to energize or hold the flame relay, ensuring safe and continuous operation of the system.
These UV flame scanners are ideal for industries requiring reliable, high-performance flame monitoring in both cyclic and continuous flame applications.
