EP Seires Programmer Modules for Flame-Monitor® Burner Management Control System

The Fireye programmer modules—including EP100S, EP200S, EP300S (extended purge), EP160, EP161 (extended MTFI), EP163 (programmable), EP170, EP174 (early spark termination), EP165, EP166 (pilot stabilization), EP177 (early spark termination and programmable operating parameters), EP260, EP265 (pilot stabilization), EP270 (early spark termination), EP380, EP381, EP382, EP383, and EP390—are designed for use with the Flame-Monitor Burner Management Control System.

Operational Customization:

  • Dipswitch Settings: Most modules feature six dipswitches for configuring operational characteristics:

    • Forced Blower Motor Start Delay (Dipswitch 1, inactive for some models)
    • Extended Purge Timing (Dipswitches 3, 4, 5)
    • 3-P Running Interlock Circuit Requirement (Dipswitch 6)

    For models EP163, EP177, and EP383, settings are managed via the ED510 Display Module instead of dipswitches.

Key Functions and Safety Features:

  • Start-Up Programming and Safe-Start Check: Ensures proper ignition sequence and system readiness.
  • Flame Monitoring Supervision: Monitors flame presence for safe operation.
  • Safety Checks: Includes open damper (high purge) prepurge, proof of low fire position, and fuel valve end switch safety checks.
  • Running Interlock Circuit: Continuously monitors limit switches, airflow switches, and fuel pressure switches. If any circuit opens at an inappropriate point, the control initiates a safety lockout or recycling process (depending on model settings).

Model-Specific Notes:

  • EP100S, EP200S, EP300S: Configurable via dipswitch settings.
  • EP160, EP161, EP170, EP174: Provide robust safety and control features with configurable dipswitch settings.
  • EP163, EP177: Programmable via the ED510 Display Module, offering advanced configuration options.
  • EP260, EP265, EP270: Include essential start-up and safety checks with configurable dipswitch settings.
  • EP380, EP381, EP382, EP383, EP390: Feature extended purge timing and configurable operational modes, with the EP383 programmable via the ED510 Display Module.
